OUTDOOR LUNCH RECESS |
OUTDOOR RECESS
During outdoor recess, students must stay on the blacktop area unless they are dressed properly for the snowy, icy, wet and cold conditions. Students who follow the “five finger” rule and wear all 5 of these items:
1. Coat
2. Snowpants
3. Boots
4. Hat
5. Gloves/mittens
are allowed play on the playground and field areas. Students who do not adhere to the “five finger” rule will still go outside during lunch recess, but are limited to the black top area. Since there is limited space and choice of activities in which students may safely participate while on the blacktop, students are encouraged to follow the “five finger” rule and dress properly for the weather. |
