Heritage Lakes School was built in 1990. We house approximately 440 kindergarten through fifth grade students. The District's Instructional Special Education programs are housed at Heritage Lakes School. Also, the fourth and fifth grade Gifted Magnet Class is housed here. There are three sections of kindergarten and four sections of first grade, three sections of second and three sections of third grade, there are three sections of fourth, and three sections of fifth grade. Our staff of talented teachers is complemented by an equally talented staff of specialists. We have a School Social Worker, School Psychologist, Remedial Reading Teacher, Speech Pathologist, Special Education Resource Teacher, School Nurse, ESL Teacher, and Library Learning Center Director, as well as many program and building support staff. Students receive instruction in the Fine Arts through our CATS Teachers. Students in grades 1-5 receive instruction in physical education three times a week, music twice a week, and art once a week, as well as instruction in dance, health, and drama. Heritage Lakes School boasts an extremely active parent population, and very involved PTA.
